Kun kaivoin tämän Gentle Cleansing Milk puhdistusmaidon paketisti päätin laittaa sen heti tulikokeeseen. Olen testannut lukuisia puhdistusmaitoja ja vesiä joista monet puhdistusmaidot ja etenkin vedet saavat mun oikukkaalla iholla aikaa enemmän haittaa, kuin hyötyä.
Moni vaahto taas kuivattaa liikaa vaikka kyseessä olisi kosteuttava versio. Siinä missä mun ihoni on pääosin rutikuiva, se on kuitenkin äärimmäisen herkkä näppyyntymään ja ärsyyntymään, joten vaikka kuinka monta tuotetta on lähtenyt kiertoon näppyarmeijan ilmestyttyä leukaperiin.
Cattier Paris merkkinä oli ennestään täysin tuntematon, vaikka se on yksi Ranskan myydyimmistä luonnonkosmetiikkamerkeistä. En tietoisesti suosi luonnonkosmetiikkaa, mutta kokeilen sitä toki mielelläni pienellä allergiavarauksella.
Ostan paljon Laveraa ja Weledaa, enkä edes alkuun tiennyt niiden olevan olevan luonnonkosmetiikkaa, sillä molemmat ovat saksassa ja hollannissa todella edullisia merkkejä. Ostin niitä ihan vain siksi, että ne ovat halpaa kuin makkara. Hintaero suomeen saattaa Laveran kohdalla olla yli puolet halvempaan päin. Suomessa yleensä luonnonkosmetiikka on yhtä kuin lihava hintalappu. Nämä kaksi merkkiä ovat kuitenkin rohkaiseet kokeilemaan myös muita luonnonkosmetiikkamerkkejä.
Mutta, takaisin aiheeseen nimeltä Cattier.
Ensimmäinen asia jonka huomasin tässä puhdistusmaidossa oli se, ettei se tuoksunut yhtään miltään. Tuoksu onkin ensimmäinen asia, jonka tuotteessa tarkastan. Sen jälkeen selaan luettelosta allergisoivat ainesosat (pähkinät, pujo, mantelit yms.). Vaikka INCI olisi muuten kohdallaan usein luonnonkosmetiikan kanssa moodkilleriksi muodostuu tuoksu ja muuten lupaava tuote jää kauppaan löyhkäämään.
Gentle Clensing milk on sopivan maitomainen, ei liian vetelä, muttei liian jähmeä. Se levittyy mukavasti iholle kiristelemättä ja polttelematta. Usein allekirjoittaneen iho reagoi puhdistustuotteisiin hieman ärtyneesti ja on todella vaikea löytää tuotetta, jonka seurauksena ei ole kutinoita tai näppyjä. Usein kuvittelen löytäneeni sopivan, kunnes näpyt taas muutamaa päivää myöhemmin ilmaantuvat.
Vaikuttaviksi ainesosiksi Cattier listaa orgaanisen ruiskaunokkiveden, glyseroli (kasviperäinen) ja orgaanisen auringonkukkauutteen. Ainesosat löytyvät Incin alkupäästä:

Olen käyttänyt tuotetta nyt hetken ja olen tyytyväinen. Ihoni ei ole vielä protestoinut ja kevyt meikkini poistuu kasvoilta hinkkaamatta sekä hankaamatta. Tuote on todella neutraali ja tietyllä tapaa konstailematon. Ei mikään tajunnanräjäyttäjä tai maailmaa mullistava tuote, vaan toimiva ja erinomaisen hintasuhteen omaava puhdistusmaito. Puhdistusmaito maksaa suomessa n. 13€ / 500ml pumppupullo. Minusta erittäin kilpailukykyinen hinta tällä laadulla.
Huomaan tosin ihoni olevan hieman tasapainoisempi sen jälkeen, kun aloitin tällä puhdistamisen. Käytin aluksi tuotetta vain toiselle puolelle kasvoja ja huomasin "maidottoman" puolen olleen hieman näppyisempi ja aamulla ei koskaan tiennyt millä tuulella iho on tänään. Nyt iho tuntuu hieman rauhoittuneen sen jälkeen kun vaihdoin tähän tuotteeseen.
Eli summa summarum, koska miinuksia en ole vielä tästä tuotteesta löytänyt pistetään ne tulemaan perinteisillä ranskalaisilla viivoilla näin ranskalaisissa aiheissa kun ollaan ;).

I got this lovely Cattier Paris Gentle Cleansing Milk from the beautybox earlier this month and I put it to the test right away. I have been looking for that perfect cleansing product for some time now but most of the time my trials ends up with weird pimples on my jaw or an irritated and itchy skin. So far, I have settled to just cleanse my face with water but this Cattier milk gives me hope!

I don't purposely choose natural cosmetics but recently they have mostly chosen me. I have been using a lot of Lavera and Weleda as they are so cheap in Germany but I made the choice to pick those brands originally by price - I didn't even know they were certified natural cosmetics. But they gave me the push to get over my doubts about natural lines. A good natural cosmetic product doesn't need to be overpriced.
Anyhow, back to the original subject.
What I love about this cleansing milk is that it had absolutely no scent, which is usually the buzzkill for me for most products. Even it would be a very promising product otherwise the smell is enough to scare me off. My skin is very sensitive and I get allergic reactions from a lot of products.
Secondary, I like that the ingredients advertised as the "key ingredients" are on the top side of the ingredients list. For this product they are

The product in general is a very neutral one, no devastatingly strong scent and it feels good on my skill. No burning, after cleanse ichyness and foremost no pimples. I like the fact that it is a very no nonsense product it does what it promises and that's it. Just the way I like my products. The texture of it is also just perfect. Not too runny and milky but not too solid either. Easy to apply and feels nice on my skin.
I have noticed after I started using this product that my skin is a little bit less moody nowadays which is great, as my skin especially on my cheeks is a dry and moody mess. You never know if its gonna be dry as the desert or covered with irritation pimples, especially during the winter when the weather
is so terrible. So seems that using this milk every morning and evening has helped balance my skin.
So who would I recommend this to? Well, if you are looking for a cleansing product that is just a basic good no-nonsense cleaner and you got pretty good but sensitive skin then this is a very good candidate. Its also a very good price range going for around 13-15€ here in the Netherlands for a 500ml pump bottle. I would say that is pretty damn good value for your money.
