Talven tullen kiinnostus kosmetiikkaa kohtaan alkaa taas herätä kuuman kesän jälkeen, kesäisin iho saa hehkua auringosta ja mieli on muutenkin korkealla. Syksy alkaa kuitenkin olla jo pitkällä, joten marssin rajan yli Saksaan, jossa kosmetiikka on huomattavasti Hollantia edullisempaa etenkin ns. markettimerkkien osalta. Teen ostokseni pääosin DM:ässä ja Rossmannilla, joista ensimmäiseksi mainittu löytyy aika kohtalokkaasti kaupparykelmästä, jossa suoritan viikkottaiset ruoka-ostokseni. Suosittellenkin lämpimästi käymään jommassa kummassa, ellei molemmissa jos Saksassa liikkuu. Molemmissa kaupoissa myydään myös sertifioitua luonnonkosmetiikkaa peruskosmetiikan seassa.
Mukaan tarttui kuukauden mittaan vähän kaikenlaista. Luomiväripaletti Essence all about nudes, sävy 02 nudes. Näissä on todella hyvä pigmentti alle neljän euron paletiksi. Conturkärpäsen hieman näykkäistyä nappasin myös mukaani Maybelline Master Sculpt contouring paletin sävyssä 01 light medium joka on asteen verran tummahko kalkkilaivan kapteenille, joten kevyttä kättä vaaditaan.
Kokeilin myös ensimmäistä kertaa DM:än omaa P2 merkkiä Vanhan Pierre Renen poskipunan kopahdettua lattialle ja muututtua pinkiksi keijupölyksi. Ostin P2 Glow Touch 030 touch of peony poskipunan ja ihan mielenkiinnosta kokeeksi P2 Sunshine Finish brossipuuterin värissä 020 acapulco sun.
P2 on siis tosiaan DM:än oma merkki ja etenkin heidän kynsilakat etenkin hiekka-efekti lakat on ihan uskomattoman hyviä ja kestäviä. Tykkään seikkailla eri merkkien parissa, mutten ole vielä kokeillut P2 muuta kosmetiikkaa kynsilakkojen lisäksi.
Nämä kaksi tuotetta sopivat ihan hyvin minulle, joka ei kaipaa mitään suurempaa pigmenttisyyttä poskipunaltaan ja pronssipuuteriltaan. Etenkin pronssipuuterin kanssa pidän siitä, ettei vitivalkoinen ihoni tule liian pronssiseksi vaan saa kevyen kuullon ja poskipunaa ei ensimmäisellä sipaisulla tule kuumepunoitukseen verrattavaa punerrusta. Kuitenkin niille, jotka kaipaavat voimakkaampaa pigmenttiä kertasipaisulla en voi näitä suositella.
Seuraavalla kierroksella nappaan mukaani Essencen vastaavat ja jätän nämä P2 käsilaukkuuni "naaman korjailuun" tai työpaikalla tehtävää hätämeikkiä varten, kun muistan unohtaneeni sen tärkeän kokouksen ja saapuneeni hyvin au natural tilassa työpaikalle.
Lisäksi ostin järkyttävän kasan huulituotteita sekä Essenceltä että P2 merkiltä. Yllättäen niissä P2 kynät pesivät Essencen kynät mennen tullen, mutta niistä lisää joskus myöhemmin
Ettein ihan menisi pelkäksi Saksan talouden tukemiseksi, jotain hain myös Hollannin puolelta. Nimittäin MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural mineraalipuuterin sävyssä light. Olen etsinyt jotain keveämpää vaihtoehtoa nestemäisten meikkipohjien korvaajaksi, sillä olen alkanut kaivata jotain kevyempää ja talven tullen monet nestemäiset meikkipojat muuttuvat liian tummiksi. Sain suosituksen kokeilla tätä tuotetta ja toivottavasti osoittautuu 30€ arvoiseksi. Se nyt ei sinäänsä ole mikään tajunnanräjäyttävä raha, mutta silti sen verran paljon, ettei tuotteen lykkääminen roskakoriin huonona kauheasti mieltä lämmitä.
Tässä ne pääpiirteittäin oli, lokakuun kosmetiikkahankinnat siis. Teen erillisen postauksen tuotteista myöhemmin, kunhan olen niitä päässyt kunnolla testaamaan. Ensivaikutelman perusteella Maybellinen countour paletti, Essencen nudes, P2 huulikynät ja MAC:in puuteri ovat ainakin ihan kymppi-ostoksia.

When winter and fall sneaks in my interest towards cosmetics slowly starts growing again. During the summer I don't really care that much as the sun makes my skin radiate and my hair blonder than ever. However autumn is about to turn into winter so I headed to Germany where beauty products on the drugstore ranges are a lot cheaper than on this side of the border. I do my shopping mostly DM:ässä ja Rossman. The first mentioned is located where I do my weekly grocery shopping so I most often end up doing my drugstore hauls there.
This time I bought mostly powders and lip pens but one eye shadow palette called Essence all about nudes, 02 nudes landed in my basket as I read a pretty good review of the palette and I gotta say. For a palette costing less than 4€ its great! The other thing I bought was Maybelline Master Sculpt palette in the color 01 Light Medium. I have been secretly into contouring for some time now but my milky pale skin provides some challenges in finding the right toned color. This one is alright, not perfect but with a light hand it works.
I also decided to explore some of P2 products, which is the own brand of the DM store. Their nail polishes, especially the sand effect range has been really good so I wanted to try out their other products too.
As my Pierre Rene blush fell on the bathroom floor and turned into pink fairy dust I am looking for another percetly fitting blush for myself. As said, I am very pale and looking for a natural look so finding one with just the right tone has been slightly rocky. I bought the P2 Glow Touch 030 touch of peony blush ja just out of curiosity also the P2 Sunshine Finish bronzing powerder in the color 020 acapulco sun.
The world to describe these two products is "alright". These are not mindblowingly pigmented, but for me it kinda of works as I tend to get too rosy cheeks from just the first swipe of the brush and look like I have 40 degrees of fever. Same goes with the bronzer, my pale face looks glowy but not like I just had a fake tan gone wrong moment. But for those who appreciate a high pigment at first brush, these ain't for you.
Next time I drop by I might get similar products from the Essence range and leave these P2 ones into my purse as "emergency make up" products. For those days when I appear at work while working out my natural looks but soon realize that I have an important meeting with my big boss..
I also bought quite a pile of lip pens from Essence and P2, surprisifngly in these products I prefered the P2 over Essence, but I'm gonna ramble about these a little later on.
Just to support the economy on this side of the border I got something from Netherlands too.
I marched into the Bijenkorf and got myself a MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder in the shade light. I have been looking for a lighter option in two ways, lighter in shade and lighter feeling on my skin than the liquid foundations I use at the moment. I got a recommendation for this product and I went to grab it last week.
First impression of this product is great, but I hope it keeps being that way as it is on the pricey side of my taste. I mean 30€ isn't horribly much for this product but to pay that and then having to throw it away as unfitting would not tingle my skimpy mind quite the right way.
Anyway, here they are, most of the cosmetics I hauled in October. I will do a more in depth post about each of the products later. So far the MAC powder, the P2 lip pens and the contouring palette have been my favourites.
